Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit Trace & Make and how it is used. Trace & Make is a small curated content site, and we aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

Hosting and automatically collected data

This site is hosted on WordPress.com, a service operated by Automattic Inc. Like most websites, the WordPress.com platform may automatically collect technical data about visitors — such as IP address, browser type and pages visited — and may set cookies that are needed to run the platform and its features. This collection is carried out by Automattic as the hosting platform, not by us directly. For details, see Automattic’s Privacy Policy and Automattic’s Cookie Policy.

Contact form

If you use the form on our Contact page, the information you submit (such as your name, email address and message) is sent to us so we can read and respond to it. Form submissions are handled by WordPress.com’s built-in form feature and may be stored on WordPress.com’s servers. We use this information only to respond to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list — this site does not have one.

Links to third-party sites

Our collections link to printable products sold on third-party marketplaces such as Etsy and Creative Fabrica. When you follow one of these links, you leave this site and the third party’s own privacy policy applies. We do not control what information those sites collect.

Affiliate links (future)

Trace & Make currently uses one affiliate link — a Creative Fabrica product link in our maze collection. Other product links are ordinary links. If further programs approve us, more outbound product links may become affiliate links. Affiliate networks typically use cookies to attribute purchases to the referring site. If and when this happens, our Affiliate Disclosure page will reflect it.

What this site does not do

Trace & Make does not currently use separate third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics. However, WordPress.com and its Jetpack features may automatically collect technical and usage information about visits and provide us with basic site statistics as part of the hosting platform, as described in Automattic’s policies linked above. Beyond that, this site does not run newsletters, advertising, user accounts or an online store, and we do not sell personal information.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site evolves; the current version will always be on this page. If you have questions about it, please reach us through the Contact page.
